Kavin Thadani, Esq.
Kavin graduated magna cum laude from the Syracuse University College of Law in 2009 and from Fordham University in 2006.  He is currently an associate in the Mass Torts, Insurance and Consumer Litigation practice group at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, where his practice focuses mainly on insurance litigation.  While at Fordham, Kavin was a four-year member of the Fordham LC mock trial team.  At Syracuse, Kavin was a member of the Law Review, Moot Court Honor Society and National Trial Team, was named to the Order of the Coif, and was awarded the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers Excellence in Advocacy Award.  Kavin has also judged numerous high school and college mock trial competitions.  He has been coaching the Fordham LC Mock Trial team since the 2012-13 season.
 

Assistant Coaches


 
Anthony DiSenso, Esq.  
Anthony is an Assistant Corporation Counsel in the Special Federal Litigation Division of the New York City Law Department. His practice focuses exclusively on trial-level civil rights matters brought in federal court. Prior to joining the Law Department, Anthony was an associate at Winston & Strawn LLP.  Anthony graduated from Cornell Law School and was a Managing Editor of the Cornell Journal of Law and Public Policy.  Anthony is also a graduate of Fordham College at Lincoln Center and is a former member of the Fordham LC Mock Trial team.
 
Alex Gottfried  
Alex is a second-year student at Columbia Law School.  In 2013, he graduated from Tufts University, where he was a member of the mock trial team for four years, the latter two as team captain.  During his mock trial career, he competed in multiple national championship tournaments and won numerous individual awards as both a witness and an attorney.  As a Faculty Advisor at the Lead America Law & Trial program, Alex has taught mock trial to high school students at Stanford University.
 
Kathryn Neville Browne, Esq.  
Kathryn earned her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 1985 and she graduated magna cum laude from Fordham University in 1981.  As an Assistant District Attorney in Bronx County, she prosecuted felony narcotics cases for several years; she later transferred to the Appeals Bureau, where she wrote and argued criminal appeals.  She is currently a speech and presentation coach with Rosky Legal Education, working with law firm associates to build their confidence and improve their presentation skills.  Kathryn is also a professional actress in New York City, performing in theatre, film, and a current web series. 
 
Olatokunbo Olaniyan, Esq.  
Olatokunbo is an Assistant District Attorney at the Kings County District Attorney’s Office, where she prosecutes sex crimes.  Prior to becoming an Assistant District Attorney, Olatokunbo attended Syracuse University School of Law, where she participated in the Syracuse Law Mock Trial Program.  As a mock trial competitor, Olatokunbo competed in several tournaments, such as the National Institute of Trial Advocacy Tournament of Champions, and she earned various honors, including the NITA Best Advocate Award.  She has been coaching the Fordham LC Mock Trial team since the 2012-13 season.
