Kavin Thadani, Esq.
Kavin is a Senior Counsel in the Special Federal Litigation Division of the New York City Law Department, where he defends the City of New York in civil rights cases filed in federal court. Prior to joining the Law Department, Kavin was an associate in the Mass Torts, Insurance and Consumer Litigation practice group at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP for five and a half years, where his practice focused mainly on insurance litigation. He graduated magna cum laude from the Syracuse University College of Law in 2009 and from Fordham University in 2006. While at Fordham, Kavin was a four-year member of the Fordham LC Mock Trial team. At Syracuse, Kavin was a member of the Law Review, Moot Court Honor Society and National Trial Team, was named to the Order of the Coif, and was awarded the New York State Academy of Trial Lawyers Excellence in Advocacy Award. He has been coaching the Fordham LC Mock Trial team since the 2012-13 season.
Olatokunbo Olaniyan, Esq.
Olatokunbo is an Assistant District Attorney at the Kings County District Attorney’s Office, where she prosecutes sex crimes. Prior to becoming an Assistant District Attorney, Olatokunbo attended Syracuse University School of Law, where she participated in the Syracuse Law Mock Trial Program. As a mock trial competitor, Olatokunbo competed in several tournaments, such as the National Institute of Trial Advocacy Tournament of Champions, and she earned various honors, including the NITA Best Advocate Award. She has been coaching the Fordham LC Mock Trial team since the 2012-13 season.
Andrew is a second-year law student at New York University School of Law. He received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Political Science from Case Western Reserve University, where he was also a member of the mock trial team for four years. There, Andrew was team captain for three years, and received numerous individual awards as both a witness and an attorney. He has been coaching the Fordham LC Mock Trial team since the 2015-16 season.
Adrianne is a second-year law student at New York University School of Law. She graduated from Barnard College of Columbia University in 2014 with Bachelor’s degrees in Philosophy and Psychology. In college, Adrianne competed on Columbia University’s mock trial team for four years, acted as team captain for two years, and was a two-time All-American Attorney. She is currently a member of the NYU Law School Trial Advocacy Society.
Jamie is a senior Assistant District Attorney at the Kings County District Attorney's Office in the Homicide Bureau. She was awarded the outstanding employee award in 2015, and has been a prosecutor for nine years. Jamie attended St. John's University School of Law and received her Bachelor’s degree from The Catholic University of America. During law school, Jamie was a member of the Frank S. Polestino Trial Advocacy Institute. She was awarded an Outstanding Advocate award at the Georgetown White Collar Crime Competition.
